Suri and TK made a trip to the Milkshake Factory in Pittsburgh on Saturday, 24th.
The family was in town for the weekend to visit Tom while he films his latest movie, "One Shot."

"Katie ordered a vanilla salt caramel sundae for the group," a fellow customer at the Milkshake Factory tells Life & Style. "They also ordered three 20-ounce milk shakes, and Katie said they were going to share all three so they could taste the different kinds. Suri also got a plain vanilla cone!"
"They got a classic chocolate made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup," the customer adds. "They also got an Oreo shake and the flavor-of-the-week shake, which was apple pie. It has cinnamon-apple-pie pieces."

Sporadic

Wow, that was an unexpectedly lengthy absence. Sorry about that everyone; life just seems to be getting in the way of my entire blogging experience right now. I haven't been keeping up with my reading, with my commenting, and clearly not with my own blogging. I'm afraid the sporadic posting will continue for some time to come, because although I've finally wrapped everything up at my old job I'm now busy getting settled in at the new one, and Mark and I are furiously working away getting everything ready for our new rental apartment. But things are progressing nicely, and it sure does feel great to be in a job that I'm excited and hopeful about. It doesn't hurt that we're into our most glorious weather here in SF right now, so I'm enjoying days of bare limbs and sandals at last.

This outfit is a few weeks old now, but I'm happy to finally post it because it was an instant favorite. The knotted cardigan over the A-line dress has a classic 50's shape, but the bold black and red, bandage-style tights and studded boots give it a modern edge. This outfit was inspired by Prabal Gurung's fall RTW line, but it feels much more casual and easy to wear. I liked this outfit so much that I wore it that evening for girls' night out. I liked how the shiny silver necklace just peeks out at the edges of the cardigan, so as not to distract too much from the contrasty red and black.

Thanks for hanging in there as I get my life settled down again!

Anthropologie's Got A Camel Dress!

$228, Anthropologie
Camels are totally the new birds! Anthropologie MUST know that! Wait... PUT A CAMEL ON IT! Welp, it doesn't have quite the same ring as "put a bird on it," but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

Wait, actually, that's a dromedary, which only has one hump. "Put a dromedary on it: sounds way worse than "put a camel on it," so all the more reason we should make "put a camel on it" work.

Also while doing my "extensive research" into camels, I discovered this site that begs the million-dollar question  "camels vs. horses?" Totally charged. That's like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict of the animal kingdom, isn't it? Anyway, I love both camels and horses, and they should all be able to peacefully coexist if you ask me.

These Are The Definition Of Crazy Pants

$98, Urban Outfitters
The only explanation for the print on these jeans is this: I think someone spiked a Petri dish of one-celled organisms with MDMA, photographed them under a high-powered microscope, and a pair of REAL-LIFE crazy pants were BORN! The worst part is I actually kind of love them.

Jeffrey Campbell's Lita Heels: NOW TOTALLY SPIKED

$188, Jeffrey Campbell, FredFlare.com
Jeffrey Campbell Lita heels, now TOTALLY SPIKED. For her pleasure. In the words of that great poet, Kanye West, "That's right put in work, move your ass, go berserk."

When you're done ordering the cat tapestry Lita heels, pre-order the spiked heels at FredFlare.com.

And SPEAKING OF Fred Flare, CONGRATULATIONS to Fred Flare founders/ owners Keith and Chris, who just got married earlier this month. I profiled them in 2008, Fred Flare store first opened, and they're truly two of the most genuine, generous, hardworking individuals I've ever met. Their store -- and their all-things-cute-all-the-time mantra are so joyfully cheerful and refreshing. So go indie, and shop Fred Flare! These guys deserve your support.

Jeffrey Campbell's Cat Tapestry Lita Heels: THERE ARE NO WORDS!

$150, Jeffrey Campbell, Plumforpollyapparel.com
There are no words, and yet... there are SO many things to think and say about Jeffrey Campbell's Lita CAT TAPESTRY heel. And the first one begins with "meow." The next? "WHO WILL BUY ME THESE"???? It's as if, unbeknownst to me, someone from Team Jeffrey Campbell took a scan of my brain, saw that my thoughts primarily consist of shoes, cats, and kitschy things, and the resulting cat shoe was born. VOILA!

As my friend @sarahfromthewww said, they're totally KITTEN HEELS. Get it?

I was able to enjoy fashion week on Sunday before Marios Schwab's show!  Oh my!  I fell so much in my tall shoes!  It was worth it because I was in The Evening Standard!
